Another Hot Day is Expected

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I began stirring around 3:30am opening up both windows in an attempt to attract some of that coolness. ('both windows'.... yes, my apt. is that small.) There wasn't much of a breeze, but a little and I'm grateful for that.

I cooked dinner around 5am so that it would be done while I could still have the windows open. The success of this plan depends entirely on how much nibbling I can refrain from doing while the food sits on the counter calling to me. Burp. (gasp) oh... excuse me.

The Traveling Goddess had some problems getting all (four items) the weekly art up on her blog but she finally resolved the situation. The current project can be seen here. (There are several entries/posts so the link here is to the home page. You may have to scroll down to see the paintings.)

If anyone wants to join in, I'm sure it will be fine. Even lurkers. You can leave a comment here or at the Goddess' blog letting us know.

Oh... and to those currently doing it, who wants to pick the next subject matter(s)?? Its your turn.

Wow, you get up early.

I have a question, how do you link something with just what name you want to use, and not the whole link...I don't get it...

I linked to the project too.

I'm really hoping to have time for the next one. But I have a full time job..my blogs..ya know..

Stop nibbling...

"Stop nibbling..." hahahaha You know me so well. I laughed at that cause I just finished with 'lunch' and its just 11. Dinner's going to have to be carrots or something.

I'm not sure of your question. You link things the way you do on your side bar... but to end the 'hot link' at a certain place simply put the /a where you want it to end. Here's an example of what I think you are asking. I will use parens instead of <.....

"Read (a href="your url here")Dusty Ducks(/a) tales of photographic adventures."

In the above example, DUSTY DUCKS will be highlighted as the hot link that it is and the rest will be normal font etc. Is that what you wanted??

Sandy, I think the "HTML Tutorial" link on my sidebar might be a better resource... easier to understand. And I would also recommend going through the steps even if you don't understand what you're doing. Seeing the end results can help understanding a little.

The way you hot link something on the sidebar is the same way you would hot link something in your blog entry, too, if that's what you're after. You just wouldn't use the li coding that blogger uses in the sidebar stuff in the template.

If want, you can email me an example of what you want to do and I'll send it back with the coding in it. (if I know it, that is)

Bottom line, I know that I always try to make things more complicated than they are, when I don't know what I'm doing.
