A Saturday Visit

My friend called yesterday to see if I wanted to come over for a visit. Her timing was perfect. I was beginning to become bored with doing nothing. She had picked up a roasted chicken and some side dishes. Picnic type fair.

She had bought some Hood River cherries (I think thats what she called them.) $4.99 a pound. gulp. Precious cargo for sure. And a bunch of .... bunch of..... a bunch of irsis. (I had a senior moment for a second. And that doesn't look like its spelled right. hmmm.)

My friend has a small dining table in the nook off to the side of the kitchen that is full of various plants. They all seem to just love it there. Sunlight coming in all day long from two sides. They thrive there... and droop if moved else where.

Folks at a picnic table in the park across the street.

Hi, Crusty. Your picnic sounds yummy. Getting out of the house sometimes is the best yummy there is. :)

And You just missed one i in your irises. And now that I look at it, that doesn't look right either. Let's hope a super speller comes along.

Anyway...these are nice pictures.

I almost want to say they are gladiolas..because it looks like there are several blooms running the length of the stalk. But it could be my eyes.

hmmmm...Sandy, I think you may be right. Maybe they are gladdies. All I know is that they are light purple flowers.
