An hour ago I went outside for a minute expecting to get slammed with the heat. hmmmmm. It wasn't as bad as expected. There was even a small breeze. Don't get me wrong... it was warm. Just not that 'curl the edges' kind of heat. When I came back in I checked the "official" temperature. It was only 82 degrees. I could be laughed off the web if I whine too much about this, especially by those living in really really hot places. Well... as you can see, its not keeping me from talking about it. But in my defense, it has gotten a little warmer... its now up to 84 degrees.
I took care of some errands this morning. Made a deposit at the credit union (I like doing that!!) and stopped off to pay the rent. Then I stopped at a few stores on the way home. I wanted a second fan for the pc area. Here's what I got.....
The blade is clear plastic. Other than that its just a fan... but its all I've got to post about, so there.
Next I decided to make an iced coffee. An iced Mocha Fusion drink, to be exact. After mixing the coffee I went to get some ice and I pulled out two empty ice cube trays from the freezer.
"Now who's the freaking idiot who put these trays in here EMPTY!!!!"
I glanced around to see who might fess up, but since I live alone all I got was silence. No matter. I just filled them up and put them back in the freezer and within an hour or so I had ice. A little flimsy, but it was ice nonetheless.
My drink.....
All I was missing was the commerical plastic holder and a straw. (You know, that always makes things taste better.)

I've been drinking ice tea all day...three digits here today!!! I have two stand up fans going... Maybe I should take a glamour shot with my hair blowing in the wind! Just kidding...Hey CC keep cool!
Three digits! OMG - I can't stand the heat or humidity. I should live somewhere the temp is a steady 75 degrees! I have had my air off for the last 4 days cause it has been just beautiful. Suppose to get hotter as the week goes on. But, the temp dropped down in the 40's in O.C. Maryland last night. It was good sleeping here too. I'm okay for it to be around 80 during the day with low humidity. I can't stand being hot & sweaty. "Mentalpause" is cursing my body! What can I say!
CC - stay cool. I think you bought a great fan. I have the same one. Does a good enough job. Have a safe holiday.

I was in Portland all day and it didnt seem that hot to me... I was in and out of stores all day though... GOODWILLS, Gswd I love those goodwills... BUT NEVER NEVER NEVER take your broke grown kids there, because they revert back into 8 year olds wanting everything they see...
