You love to draw and paint people too, don't you. There is something more alive in a face, or a person than any still life, you can do....I love these. Are they people you know...or out of your imagination???
1. Portrait of a friend's first grand daughter, Brittany. I used a photo of her sitting on a couch, and, of course, I changed the background. She was looking so cute with her beaded braids. I can't remember if I used the projector or not. If I had to pick, I'd probably say 'yes'.
2. I call this "Big Head Boy" and its totally from my imagination. I was stumbling on the background and just started tapping a loaded brush around. I liked how it looked so I continued doing it all over. I like how it almost looks like air, if one were to paint air.
3. Courtney. My first born grand daughter taken from her HS senior year picture. I used a projector on this one. She has a slight over/under (?) bite and I think the fullness of her bottom lip area is there. She has since graduated from Pepperdine (real estate law) and is currently working in a law firm in L.A.
CC - I really like all of these alot. I think I may like the top one the best; the little girl is so adorable and all of that blue....well, I love blues! And, your grandaughter is just beautiful. And congrats to her! And that little boy.....the big headed one you say.....something about him keeps me coming back to look at him.
"…the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” –Hermann Goering, Nazi Reichsmarschall
