Wednesday..... already?!

Monday morning I forced myself to go to Michael's Art and Craft store to take advantage of the 50% coupon.... Monday was the last day it could be used.

Below shows what I got... not a big shopping spree. The arcylic paint set was regularly $22 so I used the coupon on that item... YaHoo... $11. I also got a tube of 'retarder' for the arcrylics. I've never used it before... not out of a tube. (truly, I don't know what I'm doing, anyway.) Then just to make it a balanced three-item binge, I got a pad of canvas paper. I wanted some so when I'm done painting for the day, if I ever get around to painting, then I can use the leftover paint on the canvas. paper.

My first attempt of doing a painting using one of Sandy's photos. I'm hoping to do several more... maybe I'll get one that doesn't look all tight and bound up.

Nothing much going on here.

Hey yeah!! I love this. Good job.

And it was fun reading about your deal at Michael's.

I think you did great.

And by the way, the painting you sent me of dad and me, I checked it yesterday and it is smoothed out nice. I can frame it in the next day or two when I get out to get one.

I love this one!!!

Thx for the comments. I'm hoping to try it again. It doesn't capture the color that the photo has... or the fluid-ness. But... its something I finished. That in itself is good for me. You know, Queen Procrastinator, and all.

Well..Traveling Goddess, what can I say?, she said with great sympathy. However, I guess it does say that YOU DON'T READ MY BLOG!! hahaha Just kidding. You don't have the name of Traveling Goddess for nothing, ya know. Its hard to keep up with so much going on in your life. Who knows, you may have seen it and have just forgotten... but if you want a look, its posted in the entry for August 17th (blogger won't let me get to the individual link once its in the archives.) Of course in order to find this out, it would mean you would have to come back and read these comments again.....

My curiousity (sp?) was tickled so I took a look back (on another site) to see what you were up to around the 17th of Aug... you were busy with future in-laws, starting the wedding plans, and packing for your retreat. So there ya go. Busy as a bee during the last days of summer!

and by the way....I want to do the "boys" some day....and how are the boys.

I still have Hannah to do...and I want to do BJ's little Gianna....

and....there is Mackenzie, a new one of Cayden to do...a new one of Holly to do..and I have never been able to capture Hunt in the way I want to.

But Darius and Vyron are on the list...

probably when winter comes.

I would love some news about the boys or pics or something for Gawd sakes woman...
