hmmm... I'm surprised too... you know, coming back in after a few hours and looking at it again with a fresher eye. It really does kind of look like olive oil in the bottle. Dang. It turned out pretty good. (00)
The marker pens you see in the photo is what I used. On the pen it has "Fibracolor". (They're like firm fiber pens of color. I've had them a long time.) They don't blend, but there are so many shades of color...that helps. (I'm thinking like how 'paint-by-numbers' work) I got the pens at Fred Meyers (aka Krogers).
Sandy... in the top photo I put the fiber pens and actual olive oil bottle in it to show what I used. The only thing left to explain is that I used card stock paper. Smooth but a little heavier than regular drawing paper.
"…the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” –Hermann Goering, Nazi Reichsmarschall

I'm not real crazy about the shadow, though.
I can't believe you did this with pens!!! It's really good and you got the olive oil and glass and reflections great...with pens!!!?
okay, I want to try pens. I like the shadow by the way.

had to come back and say, what is great about this pic, is in that top photo it looks like the bottle is upright and standing on the table.
That's just so real, I want to stir fry some veggies!!! Great job!!!
Thx everyone.
