Enjoyed seeing your sketches. I like the pose you put that woman in. I haven't had any time much to draw and I'm itching too, but I know this week is going to be busy so not sure how much I'll get to do.
Those flowers are great...You can sure do a lot with a sharpie!!
These are really good sketches! Did you sketh with only the pen...or did you do pencil first? I'm afraid to not use pencil first...gotta be able to erase, ya know!
I sketched the woman in pencil and then did the Sharpie thing. Then eraced like crazy. I want to next do something without a pencil sketch... you know, to loosen things up.
The other two did not have a pencil sketch. I just used the Sharpie for the flower petals... rest is Tombow. The limb was done with the Tombow on its side.
With the heron, I used a gray Tombow and a blue Tombow on its side. The black is from the tip of the Tombow. Then I got a watercolor brush wet and went over it.
Oh CC, I always get excited when you post your art! Love the sketches of the woman. It's so amazing to me that a few simple lines can make such an impression! Love the flowers too, but the bird is just too cool!!! A friend just sent me a pad of postcard watercolor stock...anxious to try a few simple things like this...! :}
Great sketch of the woman! And the flower is perfect! I love the red! I don't understand all of your talk about "Tombow" but I know that I like what I see! That heron is awesome!
"…the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy.All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” –Hermann Goering, Nazi Reichsmarschall
