The Burning Bush

Moses isn't the only one to see a burning bush that is not consumed by the fire!

Just a couple of pictures of the colors around here.

Below: When I went to the store the other day I noticed all the light poles had thin groups of wire flaring out at the top like the frame of an umbrella. Do you know what these are? Are they motion sensors or fiber optic video cameras? (I'm not sure you'll be able to see them in this picture.)

I finally got the windshield wiper blades replaced on my car. The hubby of a family friend did it for me. Reading on the web how to do it made it sound very simple and do-able by an ignorant person. (that would be me.) Watching the man do it, I realized it was wise to wait for someone else to put them on. It looks like they will work, but the final test will be when it rains.... due later today and on into infinity. Hopefully the entire blade arms won't have to be replaced. The guy had to bend and twist them (needed lots of muscle which I surely don't have) into place, but I'm optimistic that they will hold up with use.

I kept trying to see what wire you are talking about but can't.

Good thing you got those blades replaced if it is going to rain. I don't stop to realize often how great it is to have a man around the house. Easy to take that for granite. (granite looks like its' spelled like the concrete...now I'm wondering if there is a different spelling for my meaning).

The bushes are blazing and beautiful...wow!!!

I would love to be able to see those wire things. I have often read/heard some interesting George Orwell type stuff about Portland. Such as Portland is a test city in so many ways...if you get my meaning...what's good for Portland is good for...

Anyway enough Orwellian talk...

Portland's not what it use to be... in both a good and bad way. I suppose that's true for most cities. I've heard that Portland is the current meth capital of the nation, for example. And some outsiders moved here and thought they'd take over from the stupid lumberjacks. I like Portland but I am no longer a huge fan.

Too bad Portland has turned into something it wasn't before. I have never been to Oregon but sure would like to see that part of the northwest some day.

I think CM is up and running....We worked on the problem by telephone and seems she was out of space..

anyway..looks like we are the only live souls in our corner of blogland today.

quiet...shhhhhhhh....

Take it for "granted" not "granite." Oops! You had a brain fart, huh!

Beautiful colors in those pictures, CC, and I can't see the wires either...but I'm sure it's for something evil! haha
