What Day Is It?

I've got to drag myself out and take care of an errand. One that I can't put off any longer. I've got to go get a stamp so I can send off the rent check. One lousy stamp. I was short just one stamp. Sigh. I guess deadlines are good, otherwise I'd REALLY be behind in things.

I've also got to get a birthday present for Darius (grandson). That's going to take some creative shopping and a big dose of luck. Do I feel lucky, today? Well, do I? Not really. Saturday is the birthday party so I have a few days to check out things.

Its pretty foggy here right now. Visibility is about half a block. This is our last nice autumn day.... our rainy season starts tomorrow. Speaking of rain... I've also got to get another umbrella. The one I've got is about done. All those days of being the SWORD of the WIZARD and all those times of hauling around Mary Poppins, played by D. and V., has taken its toll.

May I suggest Goodwill darling, I find great toys still in the box sometimes... My grandkinds don't mind second hand, I know some folks wouldn't dream of second hand, but a toy is a toy to a 5 year old... Just a thought...

i am is right...you can find some good things at a Goodwill or other thrift store sometimes if you're lucky.

Your rainy season starts...we're in our summer now with a "slight" chance of a few sprinkles on Saturday.

Yes...good advice GW...

So did you find anything while you were out. Our weather has been miserably hot. I have not done anything around the house, outside the house..nothing. I might make a trip to Michael's in awhile, but ...haha probably not. I am so lazy lately.

I turned the heat on in the house. This year ought to be lovely in the cost to heat this house. I'm shuddering at the thought.

I love the picture. Glad to know i'm not the only one out of sorts. Misery just loves company

My plan is to go birthday shopping tomorrow and Miss P is right about checking out Goodwill. If I don't find anything maybe I'll pick up a couple of books for him. Books would be better than socks, huh.

The best is the one in Gresham, and the two in Vancouver... You can google the addresses and I have to tell you, I don't share this info with just anyone... (grin)...
I know that those two are not the closest to you but man, they are the best ones, and go look in the plus size clothes, HEAVEN!!!... (grin)...
BUT if you get anything, you must tell what you found... How I love my Goodwills in Portland... You know we have the best in all of the country don't you?... I personally know this... hehehe... Really, ours don't smell, they are sorted by size and gender instead of color and the stuff is quality not like in any other place, and I really have checked um out all over the country...

HAVE FUN...
