Thanksgiving
Just a few pictures from Thanksgiving. It was very pleasant and nice, although the weather stunk royally. Windy and Wet!
Cool door knob and fireplace.
Parenthood sucks... sometimes. Maybe it has to do with being a lousy parent. Perhaps to the good parents its wonderful, but I gotta say I think its just the luck of the draw with good parents, too. After being completely responsible and having your entire personal life sucked into the care and feeding of others, after being blamed for everything that is/was wrong in their lives, after being the butt of so many crappy jokes (both as parents and in-laws), you become a distant thought, if that. Those sweet, innocent, little cherubs fake you out. "awwwwww... I want one. Or two." (evil snickering in background.) The one sure fire way to ensure a relationship with adult family members is to be wealthy. But even then you have to be careful once you've made out your will. You might be wise to hire a food taster.
Too much turkey, I guess. And too much rain.

Hahaha...excuse me for laughing, but there is so much truth in your post, flavored with humor, but truth nonetheless!
Whew!! Glad to hear the laughter cause I was afraid of posting a 'downer'. I've been feeling very alone lately, but I just gotta get out more. Everybody is moving out of state. I swear, they'll do anything to get out of the obligation of family gatherings!! (My son is planning on selling his businesses and moving to Texas, but that won't be for another four or five years. But it has me a little bummed out.)
Wow..planning to sell and move...Hey I can relate somewhat to your posts. And those cherubs do fake you out..make you think your life is all about them until they don't want it to be anymore...
oh well...and what's that saying.....blank blank blank and then you die...aw shit, that wasn't nice..I should be softer, more tender..haha..
"aw shit, that wasn't nice..I should be softer, more tender..haha.. "
Oh gawd don't go soft on us. There are too many "nice" people lying out there. And you know who gets the most readership, don't you? The honest ones because those are the ones we can relate to... everyone needs at least one honest person in their lives. Someone who you can ask "do these pants make me look fat?" and get the truth. (that being 'everything makes you look fat. You are fat.')
You know how you feel when you read "nice" people on the web. It makes you want to go take a diabetes test or something. TOO MUCH SWEETNESS!! GAG
I forgot to mention that I love that picture of D with the bathtowel on...adorable!!
Oh yeah, I would rather read real..from the heart stuff...or from the cynical mind even...
Sarcasm is a part of my "nature"..in a way...well hopefully mixed in with humor..
I like to read about how people handle their everyday stuff...their challenges...
