I think I might have egg on my face. It won't be the first time. I've had plenty of practice with it.
I just checked my profile/settings area and discovered a place where I can 'clear' it so anyone can post a comment. It needs to be tested to see if a comment can be posted without registering on Blogspot. I don't know if that's what "anyone" means or not. If everything works out then I will publically apologize for ranting about my misperceptions. DUH.
Added: ah...er....once again the Universe has given me a lesson demonstrating that 'I don't know what anything is for'. Sigh. The comments sections is now open to all. No need to register. My apologies to Blogger.
Added even later: I've updated the "about me" field in my profile, but (sigh) it hasn't changed it on the blog. Maybe its a timing issue.
