*I so seldom use my phone, other than answering telemarking calls, that I forget to put it on the charger. Then when I really do get a phone call, my phone goes dead. It can be frustrating. And dorky.
*Why would anyone think I have money to loan? I mean, really. STOP ASKING ME!!
*Just got a call from my daughter's friend (who was at my daughter's apt looking for her.)... apparently she and the boys are on the bus coming here. A domestic disagreement took place. She must be really angry to take the bus with the boys in tow. Sigh. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I had not had any offspring at all.
*Guess I'll get ready to drive my daughter back to her place in a little bit.

Ahhh yes....what a familiar tale....and its' always mom that gets the pleasure of helping...no matter what you may or may not be involved in at the moment.
Amazingly and thankfully, somehow we find what it takes to "be there" for them...even when you don't want to be...
You know, I have often asked myself the same question you just posed.
But then I realize......it couldn't have been any other way or you wouldn't be you with all your crusty old wisdom.
by the way the above was by the dd.
dd... distant destinations
..... daring darling
..... Donald Duck
Thx for adding your initials. You think you know someone's writing style, but really... its a toss-up.
I just got back from dropping 'the group' off at their home. And to be honest, I'm grateful that she had me to ask for help because I remember what it was like to be flat broke. Remember? Hell, I'm still living it. Still... I really am, at my core level, very glad she has someone who cares. How sappy is that?
