When the news came out about the new "vaccine", Gardasil, I was skeptical. Out of the blue comes a vaccine for cervical cancer and it was going to be mandatory to have all young girls given it. WARNING WARNING WARNING. Mandatory? Out of the blue? My very first thoughts were that it was a boon for the drug industry because they would be making a lot of money on this.
Then the ads start appearing. I listened closely to what was said, the fine print if you will, and it made me think the vaccine could be nothing but a placebo and there would be no way to prove it. (So what if the FDA approved it... that means absolutely nothing.)
The ads stated that the vaccine was not a treatment for cervical cancer. I have no problem with that. I don't know of any vaccine that is used in a pre-existing disease.
Then it states that it does not protect against ALL cervical cancers.... so you'd best keep being checked for it.
And it does not work on ALL people. So if someone who had the vaccine came down with cervical cancer... well hey, they were just one of the few that the vaccine didn't work on. ??? Prove otherwise, if you can.

This is just another situation where my initial reaction to something has proven to be valid. My confidence in my intuition is certainly improving. But I am so glad someone in the medical community is speaking out about it... raising questions, because you certainly can't trust the drug companies.

I agree with you about the drug companies. The side effects from most medications are almost worse than the reason you need the meds. I am always leary of medicines and vaccines and I have never had a flu shot.
ahhh I could write a book about how I feel about allopathic medicine, pharmaceutical companies, etc.
And...what about the new vaccine now to guard against meningitis...the ads are pushing this one...one minute here is your lovely son or daughter happily playing and the next minute...struck down by meningitis.

There are times I truly despite this world we live in...or rather this matrix we live in...
I had seen the commercials, but never knew they were thinking of making it mandatory...
When I first saw the commercials I thought to myself, "I wouldn't take the shot if I were a young girl and risk it doing something worse to my body"
When my kids were little I didnt allow them to have the "mandatory" shots, my doctor yelled at me that I was not a good mother, and that I was putting them in danger by not giving them the shots... I had heard of too many kids dying, and they also thought that some of those baby shots may be the cause of the rapid growth of autism, either way, I would not let my babys have the shots... Of course they had to have them to enter school, so they got their shots at 5. Sometimes you just have to take back control...
I declined it last year, I declined it this year. My doctor agreed with me this year - though he skeptically supported it last year.
I also delayed mandatory immunizations on my little one until she was old enough to handle the cold/flu season. They fill little bloodstreams with too many things, and it's not right. My doctor supported that decision.
If we immunize ourselves against everything, what is going to happen to our immune systems? We can't even handle a bad batch of tomatoes anymore.
Hannah has not had all her shots because of the risks to little ones at such an early age. And her mom won't let her have the large numbers of shots "required" all at one time. She's had a few of the shots but not the one they question about perhaps attributing to autism.
