WASHINGTON - North Korea faced a barrage of global condemnation and calls for harsh sanctions Monday after it announced its first-ever test of a nuclear weapon, thrusting the secretive communist state into the elite club of nuclear-armed nations.

I wonder if Bush now is wondering how wise it was to cut Colin Powell's counsel off at the knees. I wonder if Powell is now doing the "I told ya so, I told ya so, I told ya, told ya, told ya so" dance.

Who's minding the damn store! And where is their personal integrity and moral family values? Tucked in their pockets with their wallets?
