Oh... Look What I Found

My attempts at ACOs.

I've been trying to locate my paper palette pad (say that three times in a row) and I came across the ACOs. (Did I post them already?) I didn't locate the palette pad but I did come across these so now I have something to post. Yippee.

In case you were wondering, when I realized (accepted the fact) that my youngest daughter and her two boys weren't going to be moving out any time soon, I collected my art supplies and packed them away as best I could. It made for a better environment. Not so many "No. Put that down. Don't touch. Leave it alone!" And then, a couple of months later, they moved. Now I have junk all over the place... floor, tables, counters... and I still can't find anything. Who knew.

What's an ACO? I mean what do the letters stand for? And if you have posted this in the past, I don't remember it.

Isn't that when one draws very small and it has to be the size of a playing card...I can't draw THAT small, I tried....

Oops, forgot to mention that if they are what I think they are...they are very popular, like the trading cards of many years ago. Artists trade with each other these tiny drawings.

They collect them.

Help CC, I could be soooo wrong here.

You're right E....

They are Art Collector cards that have to be drawn on a certain size and I think you're right, playing card size. There is a huge industry in these. It's a way for people to own original affordable art or trade with others...I think its' a cool idea.

These are cool CC. I have a few myself that I've done here and there but they are scattered about!

Good thing Sandy answered the ACO question because I had forgotten what the letters themselves stand for.

Size is ... oh hold on, I have to go measure. Memory is one of the first to go....

2.5" x 3.5"

(blasted memory) Hey Wanda, I meant to say something about the turtle. Now what was it? Oh... yeah.

I was watching a Terry Madden painting show and he was doing a turtle. He said turtle paintings always sell first.
