Here's the latest photos of the amaryllis taken last night. (The dark thing is a tree twig waiting to see if its needed to help hold up the bloom.) The bulb hit the dirt on Nov. 15th and there is an update photo on November 24th, if you want to go take a look.

Can't wait to see it in bloom. Wonder what lucky day that will happen. You ought to let people hedge bets and ...but who would have to pay them...you!!
Impressive! please post a pic when it blooms. I can't believe it's been over a month already. Hope Christmas was good (the boys look cute).

I was expecting the bloom to appear before Christmas, but I guess I got it into the dirt too late for that. I keep looking at the pod up close to see if any red is showing through... not yet. I can hardly wait to see that BRIGHT DEEP RED color!!
