Pencil Drawing

I used an ad in a magazine as a reference. I'm thinking of next doing a stylized version in watercolor. But anything shiny... or dull... could distract me.

Well you've been busy. I like both this drawing and the painting below. You are really good at drawing figures. That is something I hope to practice on in the future. And wow, look at your snow! Dollar stores can be fun, when one is in the mood! I go there for juices usually.

Very nice. You all amaze me with your talent. Just for laughs, I may try to draw something someday.

Brenda... I say "go for it!" There are very very few people who can't draw or create art. That leaves most of everyone else capable of doing it. Its a matter of doing it, learning something, and then doing it again, etc.

Never pass judgement on something you've just done, either. Later you may pull it out and look again to see it was/is better than you thought. I don't know about others, but what I end up doing NEVER matches what I had envisioned... so hold off final judgement until things have cooled down a little.

I think there are probably sites on the web that give drawing instructions, if you're interested. I think Ask.com might be a good start. Or just google 'how to draw' and see what comes up. And there's always youtube. They have a lot of watch-me-while-I-paint-or-draw videos. Most are speeded up, because watching someone draw can be as boring as watching paint dry... but you might be surprised to see how people do things.

Go for it! And don't worry about how it will turn out because you are in total control and you don't have to show it to anyone if you don't want to share it.

Fabulous ~~~ If she had blond hair, I would think you were doing a portrait of Sandy!!

Thanks for your advice on the "progress" of Elizabeth. Why did you get all the brains...Duh! I never considered waiting....
Thanks!!!

? hmmmmm Ya know, I think you've got something there, Wanda. Bangs and blond hair would make her look a bit like Sandy.

I like it. You are good at drawing people. I couldn't draw my way out of a box. But, I could knit an exit.
