A different pose of the cooper hawk that is part of Wanda's art challenge. The second drawing is a duplicate of the first but in a "soft focus" mode.(see post below for links.)
I like to use spatial relationships or did when I was drawing a lot. The relation of one thing to the other was awfully important. You did a good job on these pictures. If you were making them for an editor it would be more detailed and more contrasts in light and darkness. It is hard to do in pencil but you can do it easier using willow charcoal sticks or probably most would prefer Wolf's Carbon pencils. I liked them and taught my students how to use them with paper stumps.

Yes, I say OMG almost daily as I watch my grandchildren grow up, go to college, get married and have babies... Guy, I must really be old!!!
