Blueberries - Wanda's Art Challenge

 

Prismacolor pencils on Strathmore "art paper".

Whew! Made the deadline with a day to spare. Check out Wanda's blog here... and the specific art challenge post here. (currently it takes you to the same post, but in a day or two the links will take you to different places, same blog.) Its easy. Its fun. Anyone is more than welcomed to join in whenever they feel like it.

I'm not sure if I like the effect of the coursely tectured paper or not. I think I do one minute, then the next I'm questioning it. Have you tried Strathmore's Art Paper?

I really like the texture. I also like that the entire rendering is in blues, and hues ~~ So nice.

Chris wanted another challenge.... so don't put your pencils away...I have posted two new pictures ~ No deadline on this one. Just let me know when it's ready to post.

This is very pastel-ly (not a word?), and I really like the colors and the texture on that paper.

I love the effect in blue. I started it on green Daler paper and used pastels. But I think blueberries deserved a blue approach. You' ve got great light into it too.
