My sincere intention was to use another photo of a clown and produce a magnificent drawing of said clown. It ain't gonna happen. (source photo from wetcanvas.com/portrait/April Challenge) I couldn't catch a likeness, I couldn't get myself in the zone, so instead I went for a blind contour drawing. Only I peeked. A lot. I tried two times. Results below.
On a different note, 5 yr old Vyron was showing me a toy he had. He said he had borrowed it from his playmate Aubrey. He waited a second and then said "I've been borrowing it for 5 years."

"I've been borrowing it for five years, "....hahahahahah. That is so darn funny.
Love your paintings, a lot. I definitely think you got his likeness and I like the style you did them in.
Oh you did get the likeness C, and the looseness of the watercolor and hint of a different color...Oh I really really like these...
Wonder how many clown faces there are out there to experiment with... So send in the clowns....
Vyron....oh my goodness, that is so funny...Is there a 5 year rule, that it becomes yours.... ha ha ha.
BTW Thelma was a hoot! I couldn't even begin to share our entire conversation, but it was a blast! I want to be a Thelma if I live to be3 93!!!
Opps, typo.... 93, not 393 Only Bible Characters lived that long!!!

-Hmmm, I'm a photograph girl myself and the last colorful photo you posted of the clown really caught me....this one though I most def prefer your sktetch version to the photo. The photo is too washed out and the sketches have more depth. I'm having trouble deciding if I like the first or 2nd one of the sketches better though. They both have their own merits that's for certain.
