But back to the camera... this morning a tiny wee thought drifted ever so softly through my mind. It just didn't seem right that the batteries in my camera were 'done'. It was just too soon. So I grabbed the camera and took a picture of a pile of laundry. (It was a test, okay.) The camera worked!?! Mumble, mumble, mumble. I quickly tossed my two small watercolor tests down and took a picture.
First, let me state that very little time was taken with either one of these paintings. I think its clear as to which one was done with the wc pencils and which was done with the traditional watercolors.
The color blue, once again, did not change when water was added. No painting effect with the blue. (could be an isolated thing. maybe.) I suppose that I could increase the contrast by putting more wc pencil on and wetting it again.
I think the 'regular' wc has more life to it and the pencils have more control.

I finally got a batterie charger, and lo and behold, I can always have 4 batteries ready. I love it, cause before, I'd been out some where and see something really cool, and the batteries were dead.
I think I got a charger for under $15.00. Already saved me a ton in batteries.
I started my painting from the photo Jose gave me of an old mexican man he took on this trip recently. Hopefully I can finish it next week.

I'm glad your camera is a liar. I have noticed that possibly you might have a surface charge that allowed you to take a few more pics..that's happened to me...but then again maybe your camera IS a liar.

Hey, nice little watercolor!! Really like the bottom one....CC did ya try putting the water down first and then see if the blue will come out better....just a thought...I don't care for watercolor pensils that much...then again, I never really did anything with them.
