May I turn your attention to the rim of the fan blade. Look at that yucky oily gunk on the edge of the blade! I cleaned this fan about a month ago and just look at the gunk on it! This is what happens when you live next to a freeway. I can only imagine what the lungs look like after 4 years of breathing this air. But not to worry because we all know cigarette smoke is dangerous. And this is not from cigarettes. Snort.

Breathing In, Breathing Out

Hey Crusty ~~ looks like ours. I think the fires and smoke and ash did a number on our fans. But very thankful for fans in the hot weather.
Freeways always leave a fine layer of dirt everywhere.
I just cleaned mine and it was filthy, and I don't smoke in the house. But we get a lot of dirt and dust off the mountains. But why the grease, I never can figure it out, ha.
Well mind did look that one but only worse until I just cleaned it yesterday, now I have one more fan to go to clean and that one is much more worse than the other one was and I too also live next to a freeway.
