Tootie Fruity

As usual, I spent Saturday afternoon playing Upwards with my friend. (This shows the beginning of the game.) We were both making high scores, but I lucked out and won this one. She whipped my butt in Word Yahtzee, though.

Instead of the typical chips and dip fare, my friend served a fruit plate. Ohhhh the smell of summer. The melon was perfectly ripe and lucious, too. There is something amazing about a ripe cantalope... like a special present to us from the Universe.

It was hot yesterday, but we had a breeze. Its going to be pretty warm today, too. I better go open up the windows to clear out the apartment. If I can get it cold in here then its not bad for the rest of the day.

Word games are my favorite type of game and that fruit, and especially the cataloupe, looks so good!

Fruit. My favourite food. My hubby and I play Boggle quite a bit. I won't play Scrabble with him unless we use the egg timer as he takes hours to decide how best to play his tiles to get the most. The very first time I played him, we had 9 tiles each and I managed to get quixotic in across the top, covering two red squares and scored 96. He developed a headache soon after and couldn't play anymore. He'll never live that down :))))

OH.MY.GAWD!!!!! You scored 96?!?!?!?! Holy Crap, Batman. I wouldn't play with you, either!!!

Have you heard about or played Big Boggle? Its larger and instead of starting at 3 letter words, you start at 4 letter words. My friend's son bought Big Boggle for her about 25 years ago. I have never been able to find the game in the stores. And Word Yahtzee... can't find that in the stores either. My friend's daughter scored a Word Yahtzee game off of ebay for around $30. Normally, I don't think it would be over $10 retail. They seem to stop making and selling the really good games.

Balderdash is kind of interesting too, but you need several people to play. Doesn't work so well with only two people. (Game where you make up definitions and try to make them believable.)

Well, I am glad you get together and play with a friend CC. I think it is too convenient for most of us to sit in front of the computer and play games instead of getting together. Our family used to play games on Sundays with dinner and then work hours interfered with it all. I miss that. The food looks great.

Sounds way to advanced for me. But I love board games and fresh fruit!!

The pictures really tell it well.

I love ripe melon too. This looks wonderful. I've never played the word game but I love a good game of scrabble so would probably like that one too.
